The M5E1 6.5 Creedmoor upper receiver by Aero Precision is engineered to serve as the core of a lightweight, precision target rifle. It features a premium 416R stainless steel target barrel with a 1-8 inches twist rate, designed to stabilize a wide range of popular target bullets. The extended gas system is specifically designed to reduce gas velocity, ensuring smoother and more reliable cycling while minimizing wear on the gas block, Bolt carrier group (BCG) and receiver. This upper receiver is available in an 18 inches length with a mid-length gas system or in 20 inches and 22 inches lengths with a rifle-Length gas system to enhance bullet velocity.
The receiver is constructed from forged 7075-T6 aluminum and features a hardcoat anodized matte black finish
Compatible with DPMS Gen I LR-308 lower receivers and their equivalent clones
Ejection port cover and forward assist have been installed
The barrel features a matte bead blasted finish, while the fluted barrel is constructed from stainless steel
