Barrel: Barrel: A proprietary blend of Hammer forged chrome molly vanadium made by FN that is referred to as "Machine Gun Steel" by virtue of its use in FN's M249 and M240 weapons. The hammer forging process work hardens the steel, making it more durable. In addition, the chrome process for the bore allows for a lining almost twice as thick as a standard M16 for enhanced durability. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1:7 twist rate, M4 barrel extension, and a carbine length gas system. Barrel is high pressure tested, and magnetic particle inspected to ensure quality and dependability, and is finished off with a PSA 12" Slant End M-lok Rail, a low profile gas block and a Palmetto State Armory Fluted Flash Can.
Upper: Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is made to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring a mil-spec finish, these uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer.
Flash Can: Palmetto State Armory Fluted "FLASH CAN". This is a solid 6061 aluminum device that is designed to direct muzzle gases and the muzzle flash forward, threaded 1/2-28, and black military-style hard anodizing. THIS DEVICE IS NOT DESIGNED TO REDUCE RECOIL, MUZZLE RISE, OR FLASH SIGNATURE. This device is designed to direct gasses and noise forward away from the shooter and enhance the weapon's appearance.
